Domestic Violence Action Committee (DVAC)
The Needham Domestic Violence Action Committee is a community-based interagency and interdisciplinary team formed to address issues of domestic violence and teen dating violence. We strive to provide assistance to the community and engage in community outreach for the prevention of domestic violence. By fundraising, we can provide emergent support to individuals affected in our community. If you need support, we provide local resources to ensure the safety of you and your family. Our mission is to ensure that every individual may feel safe within our community.
The Needham Domestic Violence Action Committee was established in 1996 and meets on the 2nd Friday of every month.
All community members are welcome! If you would like to join the meetings or If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to Hanna Burnett at hburnett@needhamma.gov . Follow us on Facebook for more updates about DVAC!
Domestic violence is an epidemic. It affects people in every community – regardless of gender identity, age, economic status, race, sexual orientation, nationality, ability, or religion.

Make a donation to DVAC! With your donation DVAC will be able to continue to assist survivors in their critical time of need. Some examples of how funds have been used before include providing various safety items (such as video doorbells), emergency temporary housing. Other assistance needs may include locksmith fees for changing locks at homes, pre-paid cell phones so not to be traced, and transportation fees to necessary appointments
