Event Descriptions:
Spooky Walk: Our classic Halloween event where families get together and go trick or treating throughout the center of town! Town businesses and organizations will volunteer to take part in giving out candy or toys and families will be formed into groups to go trick or treating together. There are two sessions for this event and you may request to be grouped with your friends. If not, we will try to group kids with other kids of a similar age. Registration ($10) for this event is required. Same day registration ($20) has an increased fee.
Pumpkin Decorating: Sudbury Farms is kind enough to donate pumpkins for our families to decorate with paint, markers, stickers, and all kinds of other arts and crafts supplies. This event occurs across two sessions at the Rosemary Recreation Complex and requires registration ($10). Extra pumpkins are available for purchase if desired.
Concert in the Common with the Tear Downs: Hailing from Needham, MA the Tear Downs Band brings upbeat classic rock to the party suitable for the young and young at heart, come to dance or just listen to the music! Registration for this event is not required and there is no fee.
Inflatables: We've partnered with AJT Bounce to bring two inflatable obstacle courses and two bouncy houses to Greene's Field for everyone to enjoy. These will be available all afternoon starting at 1:30pm. Registration for this event is not required, and there is no fee.
Goblins and Giggles: Stories for Halloween! with Rona Leventhal: This show will have you tappin’ your feet, huggin’ your seat, singin’ a tune and even laughing as Rona shares stories from the silly to the serious, from the mysterious to the monstrous! Who’s in the cave? It says it’s going to eat you! Is there anything scary out there in the dark? Ever heard of a ghoul that just wants to show you how silly she can be? Why is the boy afraid of the red, red lips? Or the green pants? Do you know the magical spell to get rid of a monster that comes to town? How do you get rid of a Belly Button monster? Come and hear a tale or two that will put shivers up your spine and send you home with a smile!
Creativity Contest: Come help design our next Summer Brochure cover! We'll provide you with a blank template and all kinds of different art supplies. All designs will be featured on our website and in our Summer 2026 brochure while the winning design will be chosen by Park and Recreation staff and will be the featured brochure cover! Registration for this event is not required and there is no fee.
Slightly Spooky Story Time with the Needham Public Library: The fantastic staff at the Needham Public Library will be reading some fall and Halloween themed stories at the Library for Needham families of kids ages 3+. Registration for this event is required, but there is no fee. This event will take place in the Story Time Room in the Children's Area at the Needham Public Library. Crafts in the Common: While you're enjoying the incredible music from the Teardowns, please feel free to do some arts and crafts. We'll have some themed crafts available along with coloring pages. Registration for this event is not required and there is no fee. This event will take place in the town common.
