  • On Peacedale Road between Norwich Road and Intervale Road, crews installed drainage for the manhole (a precast concrete vault).
  • Crews were in Cutler Park to update erosion controls and grade the access roads.

  • On the right of way (power line corridor) off Valley Road, crews will install new transmission wire on the new structures using helicopters. Helicopter flights are scheduled from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.. pending approvals.

  • Crews will continue excavation for the duct bank within the MBTA right of way off High Rock Street and begin excavation of the duct bank on High Rock Street. A duct bank houses electric cables. There will be a single lane closure resulting in alternating traffic patterns.
  • Crews will continue to install erosion controls in Cutler Park and continue vegetation removal and placement of temporary construction matting within the work area and to establish a safe work area.

There will be a single lane of closure for excavation to confirm locations of existing utilities between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Expect alternating traffic patters during this period.

High Rock Street (between Chestnut Street & Warren Street)
There will be a single lane of closure for excavation to confirm locations of existing utilities between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Expect alternating traffic patterns during this period.

Week of August 27, 2018: (received 8/24/18 4:43 p.m.)

  • Crews will continue excavation for the duct bank within the MBTA right of way off High Rock Street. A duct bank houses electric cables.
  • Crews will continue to install erosion controls in Cutler Park and begin vegetation removal and placement of temporary construction matting within the work area.
  • Crews will continue excavation to determine the presence of underground utilities on Valley Road and Peacedale Road and will be delivering construction materials to the right of way off Valley Road. There will be a single lane of closure throughout the week. Expect alternating traffic patterns during this period.

  • Crews will continue excavation for placing a manhole and begin excavation for the duct bank within the MBTA right of way off High Rock Street.
  • Crews will begin excavation to determine the presence of underground utilities on Valley Road and Peacedale Road. There will be a single lane closure throughout the week. Expect alternating traffic patterns during this period.
  • Crews will begin to install erosion controls in Cutler Park.

  • Crews will begin excavation work for placing a man-hole with-in the MBTA right-of-way off High Rock Street. 

Week of August 6, 2018: (received 8/3/18 9:16 a.m.)

  • Crews will continue survey work along the Project route and will be working in the MBTA right of way off High Rock Street to determine the presence of other underground utilities.
  • Crews will also continue installation of a temporary right of way access road, installation of erosion control measures and staging storage bins for upcoming work.
