Social Skills Groups

Our staff has extensive experience in the facilitation of groups with a focus on social skill-building and other topics relevant to school-aged youth through interactive games in a relaxed environment. Groups are kept small, usually with a maximum of ten participants, and typically run once weekly for an hour in the afternoon for a set number of weeks. Some examples of groups that have run in the past include:

Candid Conversations for 4th and 5th Graders, an opportunity for youth to come together and focus on social and communication skills while developing self-awareness and meeting new friends.

Friendship Files for 6th Graders, an opportunity for youth to learn how to make and keep friends, develop confidence, and practice how to cope with anxiety and change around friendships while planning for a successful transition to a new school.
