The Town of Needham offers a range of health insurance options to benefit eligible employees. Through the West Suburban Health Group (WSHG), a municipal joint purchase group organized under Mass. Active benefit eligible employees may enroll in health insurance either upon their initial hire, during the annual open enrollment period each spring, or with a documented qualifying event.
The Town offers various voluntary benefits including life insurance, dental, vision, accident, Aflac, Flex Spending, Health Savings Account and other supplemental insurances. Also, through the WSHG, various wellness programs are administered such as Good Health Gateway Diabetes program, CanaRx, and MyTeleMedicine. The Town also offers deferred compensation programs through MissionSqaure and VOYA Financial, and a direct debit program through membership in the Wellesley Credit Union. The Town also offers a robust Employee Assistant Program (EAP) for employee with free, confidential counseling available to employees and their families 24/7.
