Hi Everyone!

I hope you are able to enjoy this bright and sunny day!

I heard from many of you, which I love! Our friend, Bruce wrote, "I hope I am down for the next Wonderful Wednesday and Sunday Supper. It's turning out to be the "high point of the week."" We love all the great feedback about both programs!!

I know many of you are still confused, anxious and frustrated about the vaccine. Here are some tips from our wonderful Stacey!

The State has notified the Needham Public Health Department that the town of Needham will NOT be receiving more (first) doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in the immediate future.

If you have received your first dose at a Needham Public Health clinic, you will receive your second dose at a Needham Public Health Second Dose Clinic. You will have received a confirmed date for your second dose on the date you received your first. If you did not, please email needhamvaccine@needhamma.gov.

Tips to schedule a vaccine appointment through the state website:

  • The best way to schedule an appointment is signing up online using the State Website, https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/ and following the 3 steps in the illustration below:

    searchvax
  • If you call the Center at the Heights, we do NOT have operators available to schedule you a vaccine appointment.  However, if you need help navigating the State website, we can put you on a callback list for a volunteer to help you.  Keep in mind that we do not have a way to circumvent the State’s system or get you an earlier appointment.  We just provide assistance/instructions on the steps above.
  • Please continue to check the State site https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/, as other sites will be receiving doses and the search will update as they become available. If you ware uncomfortable using the web to book an appointment, you can also call the State’s toll-free hotline 2-1-1 to speak with an operator who will assist you in finding an available appointment.
  • If the system pauses or become slow, refresh the page by clicking on the refresh button, refresh button, in your web browser (e.g., Google or Internet Explorer.)
  • If you are placed in a "Waiting Room" window, do not close out as you will lose your place.
  • QuestionsPlease contact Needham Public Health at needhamvaccine@needhamma.gov or call 781-455-7934  Note, this line is a voicemail box. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.
