The Computer Operator's primary focus and support is with the Town Collector/Treasurer Office and Accounting Department. The Computer Operator works to understand and anticipate schedules and operational demands of accounting, payroll, revenue, billing, and collections. The Computer Operator monitors jobs within the revenue application as well as processing electronic transfers to and from banks and other vehicles. The Computer Operator also posts data to accounts, creates edits as necessary, whenever required or requested makes corrections to adjustments and kickouts, generates reports, prints bills and checks or other output for use by departments, primarily the Collector/Treasurer Office and Accounting Department, following established cycles. The Computer Operator works with various Town departments to discuss requests for special reports, and small run fold/stuff/mail projects. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.
