Needham Memorial Park Field House
The Town of Needham invites sealed bids for the Demolition of the existing Memorial Park field house and construction of a new field house at 92 Rosemary Street, Needham, MA. General bidders and Filed Sub-bidders are invited to bid. The estimated construction cost is $5,000,000. Award of the Contract is subject to Town Meeting Approval during early May, 2018 and receipt of all permits. On-Site Work is anticipated to start on or about July 6, 2018, upon execution of the Owner-Contractor Agreement. Work shall be substantially completed in June, 2019 per contract documents

Contract documents may also be viewed, but not removed, from the offices of Projectdog, Inc., 18 Graf Road - Unit 8, Newburyport, MA 01950, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or by appointment, at Town of Needham, Public Services Administration Building, 500 Dedham, Avenue, Needham, MA 02492 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM (Mon.- Fri.) – Contact Michael Retzky, (781-455-7550 ext. 351).
Any and all addenda shall be posted online at Projectdog.com. Each individual or firm recorded as having received the contract documents will be notified by email if and when addenda are issued.
Bidding Procedures and award of the Contract and Subcontracts are subject to the provisions of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (MGL) c.149, Section 44A to Section 44J inclusive; applicable sections of MGL c.30; MGLc.674 of the Acts of 1981, and the “Construction Reform” amendments contained in MGL Chapter 193 of the Acts of 2004.
Pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday April 5, 2018 at 1:30 PM at the project site, 92 Rosemary Street. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.

Filed Sub-bids are due no later than April 18, 2018 by 2:00 PM,
General Bids are due no later than May 2, 2018 by 2:00 PM. All bids will be publicly opened and read.

Bid Security: All General Bid and Filed Sub-Bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the bid.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding and to reject any and all bids if deems in the public interest to do so or when required to do so under MGL.
