The Town has issued addendum to its Bid. Please refer to addendum #1 dated March 28, 2017 (see related documents). Bidders are reminded that they must acknowledge receipt of all addenda.
The Town of Needham is accepting sealed bids for the Replacement of the RTS Retaining Wall. Copies of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available beginning March 16, 2017 at the Second Floor Administration Office of the Public Works Department, 500 Dedham Ave, Needham, Massachusetts 02492, or by calling (781) 455-7550 between the hours of 8:30 A.M. – 5 P.M, or from the Town’s web site www.needhamma.gov/bids.aspx and will be available until the submission deadline. An informational pre-bid will take place on March 23, 2017 at 1:00PM in the Charles River Room at PSAB, prospective bidders may then be asked to travel to the Town’s Recycling & Transfer Station for a site visit.
Sealed bids must be submitted no later than 1:00PM on March 31, 2017 to The Public Works Department, Town of Needham, Second Floor Administration Office, Public Service Administration Building, 500 Dedham Avenue, Needham, MA 02492. LATE BIDS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. All bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that is not less than five percent (5%) of the value of the bid. Bids will be publicly opened after submission deadline. Insurance coverage is required at the time of award. A payment bond in the amount of 50% and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract will be required. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interests of the Town and to waive minor informalities. This legal notice will also be published on the Massachusetts Newspaper Publishers Association’s (MNPA) website.
