Members of the Needham community are invited to join their friends and neighbors this Saturday, December 4th for the return of the Blue Tree Lighting on the Town Common. After the Covid-19 pandemic required the iconic holiday event to be held virtually last year, Town leaders are thrilled to bring it back in person this weekend.
The festivities will begin at 5 pm with the arrival of Santa on a Needham Fire Truck. There will be performances from the Needham High Chorale, Plugged In band, and the Olin College Fire Arts Club. This year, a special guest who loves the cold will be on hand and is sure to put smiles on the faces of all those in attendance.
Following the lighting, children and families are invited to visit and take photos with Santa.
The event is free and open to the public.
