Needham Public Health participates in different Assistance Programs to help residents in need of financial assistance for a variety of concerns. The Gift of Warmth Program is one that is funded through generous donations from residents and other entities such as local clergy/churches and the Community Council. This program helps residents pay utility bills when a shut-off is pending. There is no income requirement but restrictions do apply. Another program includes the Federal program Self-Help Fuel-Energy Programs. Needham Public Health helps to qualify residents for this program that provides a one-time payment to their utility companies per winter season for those who qualify for the income requirements.
