Health and Safety Committee- Needham Public Schools

The Board of Health (BOH) has emergency powers but does not make decisions for individual entities such as schools. Public Health staff and some BOH members sit on an advisory committee to the superintendent about Covid-19 situations and needs but the School Committee and the Superintendent make decisions for the schools based on the Department of Secondary and Elementary Education (DESE) recommendations and with input from public health.
