Purpose / Responsibilities
The role of the Board of Registrars is to assist in the conduct of local, state, and federal elections for the Town of Needham, oversee election recounts, and certify nominations papers and petitions. The Board of Registrars, other than the Town Clerk, are appointed by the Select Board to staggered 3-year terms.
The board oversees periodic voter registration sessions held prior to each election.
